  MUD Rules at TDH.Com

The following rules apply to ALL players at TDH.Com. Penalties for violating these rules may range from a warning to ejection to suspension of an account, without leniency given to first time offenders. Decisions are made at the sysop's discretion. These rules supercede any other "rules lists" posted on this website or on the TDH system itself.

The rules are:

  1. Each person is allowed 4 mud characters online at a time. You can create as many accounts as you like, however, you are only allowed to play 4 at a time.
  2. Multi-telnet PvP (Player vs. Player combat) is not allowed. All PvP must be one on one.
  3. NO hoarding of limited items. This means:
    • All limited items MUST be equipped at all times, with the exception of a backstab weapon, for backstabbers.
    • Limited items may not be stored in gang houses.
    • Un-equipped limited items can be stashed or hidden in the realm, however, this does not guarantee that they will not be reset or taken if found.
    • Any limited items you cannot use or equip must be dropped, stashed, given away or refused within 24 hours of obtaining it.
  4. Characters are allowed up to two limited weapons, provided 1 is for backstabs and 1 is for normal attack.
    • If your character can backstab, you are allowed a second limited weapon with backstab capabilities, provided your normal attack weapon cannot backstab. In other words, you cannot hold two weapons with backstab capabilities.
    • If your character cannot backstab, you are limited to only 1 limited weapon.
  5. Idle characters (characters not moving, resting, performing game actions, etc) will be ejected. In other words, don't go AFK and leave your character sitting idle in a room.
  6. Accounts are deemed inactive after 30 days of inactivity.
  7. Limited items on an inactive account will be reset.
  8. Sysops are not allowed to wear limited armor / non-weapons. In other words, sysops may not hold limited items, with the exception of limited weapons.
  9. Sysops are held to the limited weapons policy.
  10. No hacking, pirating or illegal activities are allowed through TDH.
  11. No scripting is allowed in NONSCRIPT class, even if you are at keys.
  12. No flooding the game with commands or actions, or through any form of communications.
  13. No exploiting Megamud hang-up messages to cause scripters to hang up.
C.O.W. Rules

C.O.W. rules are pretty simple and straightforward. There isn't much room for abuse in the C.O.W. system, as far as affecting other players goes, so we only ask that you follow these simple rules:

  • All C.O.W.s must follow the standard mud rules above.
  • NO retraining people who do not ask to be retrained. In other words, do not retrain a person just to hang their scripts at their next login.
  • Use your own judgement in granting the requests of others for lives or retrains. You don't have to retrain or add lives, if you don't want to, but doing so upon request is appreciated.

That said, C.O.W. status can be revoked at the Sysops' discretion WITH NO REFUNDS given! Please, use your C.O.W. Powers wisely. Thanks!

These rules may change at any time, without prior notice.
